CybLight Website Privacy Policy
Last updated: 06.12.2025
1. Who we are
The CybLight website (the "Site") is a personal non-commercial project dedicated to electronics, programming, games, and web technology experiments.
2. What data we collect
By default, the Site does not ask you to register or collect names, email addresses, or other explicit personal information.
However, when accessing and interacting with the Site, the following technical data may be processed:
- IP address and approximate location (country) — via Cloudflare infrastructure;
-
browser and device information (the
User-Agent); -
the page address you came from (the
Referer); - date and time of the request;
- your browser timezone and language settings.
This data is used only to technically operate the Site, protect against abuse, and for simple visit statistics.
3. Easter eggs and hidden elements
The Site may include game elements ("easter eggs"), such as hidden buttons or animated objects on special pages.
When such an easter egg triggers, an event is sent to the server for technical purposes, then a notification to my Telegram bot.
The following is recorded:
- IP address and country (via Cloudflare);
- page where the easter egg triggered;
- browser and device info (User-Agent);
- date, time, and timezone from browser settings;
- service event type (e.g.
egg_click).
This data is used only to see how many people found an easter egg, which countries visitors come from, and how often a game mechanic triggers. Data is not used for marketing and is not shared with third parties except the technical services listed below.
4. Cookies and local storage
The Site may use localStorage or other browser mechanisms to store local settings, for example:
- selected light or dark theme;
- a flag that an easter egg was already found so it is not shown again.
This data is stored only in your browser and is not sent to the server separately from regular requests.
5. Third-party services
The following services may be used to run the Site and collect minimal technical statistics:
- Cloudflare — CDN and attack protection. May process IP addresses, country, and other technical request data.
- Telegram — used to send easter-egg notifications to my personal Telegram account.
- Embedded widgets (e.g. YouTube players) may collect data per their services' policies.
By using the Site, you also accept these services' data processing terms.
6. How long data is stored
Technical request logs and easter-egg notifications may be stored for a limited time needed to analyze statistics and improve the Site. I do not maintain a separate long-term database of user personal profiles.
7. Your choices and rights
If you do not want technical information (IP, country, browser) in easter-egg logs, you can:
- do not interact with easter eggs and hidden elements;
- disable JavaScript in your browser settings;
- do not visit the Site.
If you believe any data is collected incorrectly or want to ask a privacy question, you can contact me via the "Contacts" on the Site.
8. Policy changes
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at the "Privacy Policy" link in the Site footer. The last update date is shown at the top of the document.
